Anti-Ragging Squad

The Anti-Ragging Squad of Sponsored Teachers' Training College, Purulia has been constituted to maintain continuous vigilance within the campus and hostel premises and to prevent any act of ragging. The Squad works under the supervision of the Anti-Ragging Committee and is empowered to conduct surprise inspections, monitor student activities and promptly address any complaint related to ragging.

The Squad remains vigilant throughout the academic session to ensure a safe, secure and congenial atmosphere for all students.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Squad

• To maintain continuous surveillance within the campus and hostel premises.
• To prevent any occurrence of ragging.
• To conduct regular and surprise inspections at vulnerable locations.
• To interact with students and identify any signs of ragging or harassment.
• To report incidents, if any, to the Anti-Ragging Committee for necessary action.
• To promote a culture of mutual respect, discipline and healthy interaction among students.
